I'm currently going through my CD collection with a view to reducing it to a more manageable size, picking out CDs I no longer listen to. Some of these will end up traded in for other CDs at the various second-hand establishments around Melbourne, or possibly flogged on eBay (especially in the case of obscure mail-order indie releases which there may not be a local market for). However, before I do that, you can have first pick.

Below is a list of some of the discs I'm planning to sell, along with prices. If you're interested in buying any of these, email me or leave a comment in the next few days. All prices are in Australian pesos; buyer pays shipping, if any.

OK, it's yours. Do you want to get it from me in person, or do the post/bank transfer thing?

easier to do it in person i reckon? can maybe meet you on your side of the town one evening next week... saves money on postage and time spent at the post office.

OK, it's yours. Would you like to get it from me (I'm in the CBD most afternoons and north of the Yarra much of the rest of the time), or would the bank transfer/post thing be more convenient?

Well, I didn't get into it; however, Simpatico didn't grab me either. It's much the same sort of thing, perhaps a bit more mature (or not).

The Wolfgang Press one is interesting; somewhat more random than the track they had on Lonely Is An Eyesore.

haven't heard that... i have their album "funky little demons" which is pretty much mediocre homoerotic synth-funk.

I heard Funky Little Demons was a lot more mainstream and MOR than their earlier stuff. The track off Lonely Is An Eyesore (a 4AD compo from around 1986, and well worth getting if you find a copy) is sort of 1980s vaguely-but-not-overbearingly-gothy drone-rock of the sort 4AD released a lot of. Standing Up Straight, however, is a lot more noisy and progressive.

I take it you're interested then. ;-) Do you want the Velocity Girl CD as well, or just Wolfgang Press?

(Btw, if ever you see a copy of Lonely Is An Eyesore, grab it. It's a fine collection.)
