The Christmas Doctor Who episode was quite good. Started off a bit like the first episode of the new series last year, then referenced Independence Day and the Hitchhiker's Guide, and just as everything looked like a too-happy ending, with the new Doctor and the Best Prime Minister Ever congratulating each other, it got quite a bit darker, setting the stage for a more perilous world for the new series.

Tennant any good? He's been popping up a lot on the ABC lately, I figure he makes for a good doctor.

Not bad at all. Eccleston was a fool to quit.

I've downloaded it and watched it, and yeah, was a good episode - the Best Prime Minister Ever stuff did seem too good to be true, and it was. That's what I like about the new Doctor Who. Though, I'm kind of disappointed he didn't take his appearance after Arthur Dent, in the end!

The cup of tea was cute.

Tennant makes a good Doctor - he doesn't have the gravity of Eccleston, but he's more fun...seems to have his own fix on the role.
