Does anybody know where, if anywhere, in London it would be possible to watch the ABC's tally-room coverage of the upcoming Australian federal election?

Aren't there an abundance of 'Australian' pubs over there that show major sporting events? Similarily, there might be somewhere that caters for Australians abroad who are still interested in the political goings-on of their home country. It wouldn't hurt to ask around.

there are, with big plasma screens to show the Wallabies vs. Whoever or what. I haven't noticed them advertising any 10AM-4PM drinking sessions for the election telecast though. Maybe there's not much demand for that?

No...I didn't mean like that! I meant, surely there's other Australians in London who'd be interested.

That's what I'm looking for. Especially if there are enough to have leased satellite time to beam the ABC tally room coverage to Britain and rented a venue (or volunteered their living room) for the night morning and early afternoon.

will it be steaming online on the website? www.abc.net.au

even if the actual live show isn't streaming, I'm sure they'll be updating the website all the time.

and there's Radio Australia ... also more likely to get that by webcast these days ...

Hmmm; they stream radio, and have some streaming video news, but no general tv, and no word of a special tally-room broadcast.

The Australian consulate? If they don't have it themselves, I'd lay odds that they know who does.

I asked at Australia House; the guy there didn't know of anything, short of reloading the ABC website repeatedly.

Hey Andrew, we leave next Tuesday, 12th. Until then, we were thinking about going to London but now we are unsure as each relative wants to say bye on different nights but we'll try and make it down.
