Going for the coolsie pound

I just looked in the Belle & Sebastian online shop (after checking for upcoming gigs within reach of London), and it appears that they have everything for the contemporary tryhard coolsie chat. Not only do they have those Bookworm T-shirts they had at the Australian gigs, but also flight bags and, wait for it, trucker caps, all stamped with the B&S brand. The only thing they're missing are gas station attendants' shirts. Who do they think they are: Paul Frank or someone?

Update: and then there's this badge of a cartoon bird kicking an egg. Perfect for mono.net meetups.

Current Mood:
bemused

Not betrayed, just bemused at the obviousness of it all. I mean, trucker caps??

Still, I suppose B&S is a brand, and they're just getting good value from it.

Ahem. The Belle & Sebastian pack of playing cards (52 moody monocoloured photos) is a lovely object. I am complicit in my own exploitation.
