I just got an email from a friend, saying that he just watched 101 Reykjavík, and both he and his friends reckoned that I look just like the main character from that film.

Hmmm... so the list of famous people I have been told I look like is now:

  • Jarvis Cocker
  • Peter Sellers in Lolita
  • Graeme Garden in The Goodies
  • Hilmir Snær Guðnason in 101 Reykjavík
Current Music:
Radiohead - Hunting Bears

Graeme Garden?????
I mean, come on. Jarvis, sure, a bit.

I just saw the Goodies! On Saturday, their matinee show @ the State Theatre in Sydney - oh what fun, what fun!

It must have been the sideburns, possibly combined with a corduroy jacket.

What was the Goodies show like? What did they do? I've got this image of the sixtysomething-year-old Goodies running around and hitting each other with slapstick props and such.

They just... Well they didn't run around on stage hitting each other etc - not much ;) But they said funny stuff, some skits, a few things that might have been ad-libbed. They put each other down, they showed lots of old Goodies skits and talked about them, did a few themselves. It was altogether entertaining!

Excellent. I so wish I could have seen that. They probably won't be doing any UK shows, as the BBC hasn't aired The Goodies since the 1970s or so, and their local following is predominantly expatriate Australians on working holiday visas. Hmmm... perhaps they could be persuaded to play at the Walkabout in Earl's Court or something?

My friends brother always used to get told he looked like Richard Ashcroft.

Even Noel Gallagher shouted tohim at a concert "This ones for the geezer down the front who looks like my mate Richard" I shit you not.
