It was a fairly quiet night at Lounge AC30; only a few people turned up. One of them told me that he had bought a Girlsareshort album on the strength of my playing one of their tracks, which was good to hear.

I played for a bit over an hour, from 10pm until closing time; it seemed to go down well.

What I played tonight:
  • The Sea Urchins - Pristine Christine
  • South Ambulance - Die Five Times Times Five (which is a sort of Swedish twee pop You Should All Be Murdered)
  • The Stone Roses - I Am The Resurrection
  • BAM BAM - I'm Going Out Tonight
  • Talkshow Boy - Chiming the Descant Like I'm 13 Again
  • ninetynine - The Process
  • Mid-State Orange - Summer In Disguise
  • Drum Solo - Limelight
  • Remington Super 60 - Always Trust The Samba (no guiro mix)
  • Spearmint - Scottish Pop
  • Belle & Sebastian - Marx & Engels
  • Momus - The Laird of Inversnecky
  • Broadcast - Illumination
  • Architecture In Helsinki - Scissors Paper Rock
  • Clag - Goldfish
  • Pipas - South
  • The Middle Distance - Lost Sentences
  • The Radio Dept. - Bus
  • Black Box Recorder - Swinging
  • The Paradise Motel - Jack Star
  • Azure Ray - Sleep
  • Blueboy - Marble Arch

So wish I was there for that show. At least I'm here now, no more expensive texts (well likely some, but not as many). Am amazed with how few bands you played I'm familiar with, certainly I know the names of all of them, but will just have to see you play I guess.

Good to see you online.

Pristine Christine was the first Sarah Records single release; South Ambulance are a Labrador band (same label as The Radio Dept.), and were on the Sounds Of Young Sweden Vol. 4 compilation. Drum Solo are a Japanese band, from the Pop Jingu compilation. The Middle Distance is my and Zoë's project. I'm sure you're familiar with Momus.

Thanks for the details. ONce I'm able to listen to things on the net you can be sure I'll be looking up those bands. I may as well stick with andy_yayus since people can tell I'm one polar bear by looking at the picture. Thanks for the information about LJ rules too. My pal Russell is online too and really interested in Linux, essay writer and other things you're known for, I believe you met at one of my parties.
